Let’s Get Ready to Learn
Stop! Don’t throw it away! Use what you have to teach your child today!
I believe this pandemic has taught us, as parents and educators, that we can build our own and our children’s resourcefulness and resilience, in ways we never thought possible.
I am inspired by the parents and educators, who shared their own stories of how they used my original hard cover Let’s Get Ready – the Green way book, for ideas and support, during this challenging time. For many, it was their go- to manual, and all credit to them for “deciding, designing and doing their playing, the light on way!”
The pdf ebook includes ideas of how to maximize play using the lids you have at home; card games ideas; a card sheet for printing and making your own playing cards; an emotions sheet for identifying and talking about emotions; useful websites and additional ideas based on the original items in the first book.
I love that we can choose to use items that are readily available in our environment – in practical and fun ways. I love that this choice stimulates and invites our own “stretching”, thinking, learning, creativity, and resourcefulness and creates a shift – from waiting for a hand out from the department of education – to a hand up way of thinking, where we can choose to partner with our children and take responsibility for What Is Needed to succeed.
Let’s Get Ready to Learn Through Play focuses and invites your thinking, being, and doing on What's Important Now – your WIN WIN !

What Lana Pedro, a Rallim Preparatory Edumentor, says about this ebook:
“This book is such a wonderfully useful resource for parents and teachers of how to use every day items for educational and FUN ways to learn and play with their children. There are so many ideas and suggestions of how to use the items in many ways with different age ranges and it is sure to keep the children entertained and engaged. For parents the addition of the vocabulary and example questions are also very useful and for educators it is a welcome reminder. So many concepts and skills can be learned through hands on fun. Love this book!” Lana Pedro: Rallim Primary Edumentor, 2020.
