We need parents and teachers to be on the same page
When we listen with compassion, and to understand, we have the opportunity to meet parents where they are at, with what they need most, so that everyone benefits.
Parents need practical tips and tools to support their children. Teachers please make sure that your meetings are interactive, fun and of value to those who attend!
Parents need to know that their “mess” is their “message” and instead of beating themselves up and feeling guilty, they have the ability to “sharpen their swords” and to get even better at parenting.
Thank you St Anne’s Primary School for the invitation to add value and for the feedback below.
“Thanks again for sharing your skills with our grade R parents on Tuesday evening. The workshop was really interactive and you kept the audience captivated throughout. I really like your style and the parents found it so appealing. The hands on advice that you gave to the parents was so useful and if implemented correctly by them is will be most useful to the development of the child and the family unit. The teachers that attended felt the information shared to the parents helped them a great deal in getting the message across to parents on how to deal with your kids.”
